National Aquatic Centre Nominated for Prestigious National Awards

The National Aquatic Centre is proud to have been shortlisted in all 6 categories for the 02 Ability Awards 2010.

These non industry specific awards recognises organisations that champion the ability and value of employees and customers with a disability.

This year over 100 organisations participated in the Awards programme, and 38 have been shortlisted in 6 categories with 3 overall awards, depending on business sector.

The National Aquatic Centre is in such illustrious company as Eircom, Microsoft, Iarnrod Eireann, AIB and Croke Park to a name a few.

At this stage the National Aquatic Centre has had to go through 5 stages of judging and we have now been officially conferred the status of “Ability Company” in all the sections we entered (there are 6 categories). We look forward to final judgments and the awards ceremony in May, but it is a huge achievement for our organisation to be shortlisted in every category and conferred the status of “Ability Company” in each category.

The National Aquatic Centre would like to thank all its patrons and staff for the huge effort in getting us this far, regardless of the final outcome, we feel being involved in the process has been a great and fulfilling experience for all involved.
