Leisure Industry Awards for the National Aquatic Centre
The Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management (ILAM) has announced that the National Aquatic Centre in Abbotstown has achieved the ILAM White Flag Award in the Leisure Industry for 2010. This is the 4th Year in succession the Centre has achieved it.
The Centre also achieved the Gold standard Accessibility Award. Both awards were presented at the annual ILAM Award ceremony in Castlebar last week.
Furthermore, Niall Rooney, the Head of Maintenance at the Centre was awarded Runner-Up in the National competition for the Manager of the Year award. This is a fantastic professional achievement by Niall and a well-earned public recognition for all his great work.
David Conway, Director Of Operations for the Centre said “this was a great achievement the National Aquatic Centre team in achieving the ILAM White Flag for the 4th consecutive year. We are also delighted with achieving the Gold standard in Accessibility as this is one area of our business we really focus on being an O2 Ability Company. Niall’s achievement shows the quality and dedication of the staff we have in the Centre.” |
